Every opinion in Discourse DB should have associated with it one or more authors, usually just one. An author's name can be a real name or a pseudonym; though a real name is preferred, when it is known.

An editorial that appears in a publication with no name associated with it (referred to in the United Kingdom as a leader) should have "publication name editorial board" as its author; for instance, "The Economist editorial board".

Most authors in Discourse DB will have their own page associated with them, where you can view the list of opinions that person has written, and the list of publications he/she has written for.
